About AIxEnergy

AIxEnergy exists to decode what happens next

As artificial intelligence reshapes language, markets, and governance, a deeper and more consequential transformation is unfolding—largely invisible to the public eye, vastly underestimated by policymakers. Beneath our feet, the electric grid is undergoing a metamorphosis. Once a passive conduit of electrons, it is fast becoming sentient infrastructure: overloaded, self-optimizing, and geopolitically entangled.

Hyperscale data centers—once auxiliary—are now becoming the new baseload. Electricity demand curves are no longer smooth abstractions; they’re being bent and re-sculpted by the brute force of generative inference and real-time machine cognition. Meanwhile, capital is racing ahead of policy. Physics is outrunning governance. And AI’s appetite for power is accelerating faster than most institutions can measure—let alone manage.

That’s where AIxEnergy comes in.

We operate at the fault line between cognition and capacity. Our mission is to map the convergence of synthetic intelligence and electric infrastructure—a convergence that will define the architecture of global power in both senses of the word. AIxEnergy is not a media brand. It is a strategic reconnaissance platform built for those who work at the intersection of energy systems, digital cognition, and institutional design.

If you are a founder, investor, grid operator, policymaker, or technologist navigating this frontier, you are no longer in a silo. You are in a system. And that system is evolving faster than your strategic models can accommodate.

We offer foresight, not forecasts. Insight, not opinion. Systems intelligence, not noise.

Why Subscribe?
Because the systems you depend on—and the institutions you serve—are being rewritten by forces they have yet to name.

Subscribers receive:

Weekly short- and long-form articles analyzing AI-driven electricity demand, grid-convergent infrastructure, and emerging energy volatility.

The AIxEnergy Pulse, a weekly signal layer that tracks the most important developments, partnerships, patents, and policy moves at the convergence of artificial intelligence and energy systems.

A weekly podcast series featuring the clarity, urgency, and narrative depth required by today’s decision-makers—delivered through sharp interviews and curated commentary.

Monthly deep-dive reports that explore the technical frontiers where climate tech, synthetic cognition, and public governance collide.

Direct access to a domain-trained conversational AI built on the Ethos Core™—a modular cognition architecture designed to model the convergence of energy and intelligence.

If you work in climate, capital, infrastructure, or policy—this is not another media feed. This is your early-warning system.

Who’s Behind AIxEnergy?

AIxEnergy was founded by Brandon N. Owens, a strategist, author, and energy systems architect with three decades of experience in clean energy innovation, market intelligence, and institutional foresight. His career spans technical research at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, global strategy at GE, commercialization leadership at NYSERDA, and authorship of The Wind Power Story (2019) and the forthcoming Cognitive Intelligence (2025).

While grounded in Owens’s voice, AIxEnergy is not a solo project. It is a growing platform that will increasingly feature original perspectives from domain experts, grid futurists, and institutional innovators shaping the future of intelligent infrastructure.

Podcasts

Welcome to the AIxEnergy podcast—where neural networks meet power networks.

I’m Brandon N. Owens, and each week, I take you inside the most consequential convergence of our time: artificial intelligence and the electric grid.

From algorithmic dispatch to machine-optimized renewables, from synthetic cognition to systemwide learning—we’re entering a new energy era. And it’s not just about clean power anymore. It’s about smart power. Adaptive. Predictive. Resilient.

But here’s the question that matters most: How do we govern systems that can think? How do we build infrastructure that learns?

On this show, we unpack both the breakthroughs and the blind spots. We speak with the technologists training models at the edge, the grid operators rewriting operational playbooks, the investors deploying capital into cognitive infrastructure, and the thinkers drawing new maps of power, control, and resilience.

This is not a hype cycle. It is a structural shift. And if you care about climate, capacity, or the cognitive horizon—we are your signal layer.

New episodes drop weekly.
